The Oxford MSc Financial Economics is a nine-month, full-time programme that trains graduates in the tools of financial economics sought by financial institutions, companies, and public organisations. Delivered jointly by finance faculty from Saïd Business School and Oxford's Department of Economics, it combines rigorous core training in asset pricing, corporate finance, financial econometrics, and economics with five electives chosen by each student, plus a module on finance and ethics. The programme was designed in consultation with leading financial recruiters and is aimed at highly quantitative graduates seeking careers across investment banking, asset management, trading, and quantitative finance roles.
