This one-year Master's track in Psychology trains students to use psychological techniques to improve performance at work and in sport, from managing stress to boosting focus. It combines specialist courses in essential and new topics in sport and performance psychology, an interventions course in which students design their own intervention, and a research methodology course. A practical internship of at least 504 hours, for example at a soccer academy, a national sports association or with a practising sports psychologist, and an empirical Master's thesis complete the programme. It is taught in English in small groups on the Roeterseiland campus and is aimed at psychology graduates who want hands-on, field-based experience.
