The MSc in Economics at the University of Copenhagen is a rigorous two-year, 120-ECTS programme taught in English, built on a quantitative core of advanced microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. After the compulsory core, students shape the degree through an exceptionally broad menu of English-taught electives and seminars - choosing a general path or a specialisation such as finance, development, or public-spending policy - before a 30-ECTS thesis. It is designed for students holding a bachelor's in economics, or a closely related degree with substantial microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and mathematics content. Graduates work as economic consultants, analysts in the financial sector, government and policy advisers, and in research or academia.
